LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 117, as introduced, Migden. State infrastructure. Existing law requires, beginning January 10, 2002, the Governor to submit annually a proposed 5-year infrastructure plan to the Legislature in conjunction with the Governor's Budget. This bill would require an amount equal to 1% of General Fund revenues, as estimated by the Department of Finance, to be used, upon appropriation in the annual Budget Act, for the acquisition, construction, rehabilitation, modernization, or renovation of infrastructure that is owned by the state. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: yes. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 13105 is added to the Government Code, to read: 13105. An amount equal to 1 percent of General Fund revenues, as estimated for the fiscal year by the Department of Finance upon enactment of the annual Budget Act for that fiscal year, shall be used, upon appropriation in the annual Budget Act, for the acquisition, construction, rehabilitation, modernization, or renovation of infrastructure that is owned by the state.
