SUBJECT : Pilot projects: state and local programs

DIGEST : This bill repeals 90 pilot projects in current
law identified as either expired or obsolete by the
California Law Revision Commission in a recent report,
"Expired Pilot Projects", from October of 2000.
ANALYSIS : Under existing law, various state and local
pilot, demonstration, and other projects and programs of
limited duration were created to make studies, collect data
and make reports to the Legislature pertaining to civil
procedure, air pollution, transportation, housing, health
and welfare, criminal law, juvenile justice, hazardous
waste and state property among others.
Background
In October of 2000, the California Law Revision Commission
released a report detailing 90 expired or obsolete pilot
projects that have now expired. The author is carrying
