LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 162, Cohn. Mobilehome and Special Occupancy Parks. (1) Existing law establishes, in the State Treasury, the Mobilehome Parks Revolving Fund into which funds collected by the Department of Housing and Community Development pursuant to the Mobilehome Parks Act are to be deposited. Existing law, operative January 1, 2004, instead establishes in the State Treasury the Mobilehome Parks and Special Occupancy Parks Revolving Fund into which funds collected by the Department of Housing and Community Development pursuant to the Mobilehome Parks Act and the Special Occupancy Parks Act are to be deposited. This bill would repeal the obsolete reference to the Mobilehome Parks Revolving Fund. (2) This bill would declare that it is to take effect immediately as an urgency statute. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 18502.5 of the Health and Safety Code, as amended by Chapter 107 of the Statutes of 2003, is repealed. SEC. 2. This act is an urgency statute necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, or safety within the meaning of Article IV of the Constitution and shall go into immediate effect. The facts constituting the necessity are: In order to ensure that funds collected by the Department of Housing and Community Development pursuant to the Mobilehome Parks Act are deposited into the Mobilehome Parks and Special Occupancy Parks Revolving Fund, it is necessary that this act take effect immediately.
