LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 2074, Runner. Fairs: report. Existing law requires every county or district agricultural association that conducts a fair for which any apportionment is sought to file a detailed statement of its operations in the previous calendar year with the Department of Food and Agriculture on or before the 20th day of January in each year. Existing law separately requires every citrus fruit fair eligible to receive an apportionment to file a similar statement on the same schedule. This bill would require instead that every fair within the network of California fairs file a detailed statement on its operations in the preceding fiscal year, to be filed within 90 days of the end of that fiscal year. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 4505 of the Food and Agricultural Code is amended to read: 4505. Every fair within the network of California fairs that conducts a fair for which any apportionment is sought shall file a detailed statement of its operations in the previous fiscal year with the department within 90 days of the end of that fiscal year. The content and form of the statement shall be prescribed by the department. SEC. 2. Section 4704 of the Food and Agricultural Code is repealed.
