LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST SB 1390, Poochigian Crime statistics. Existing law requires the Department of Justice to present to the Governor an annual report containing the criminal statistics of the preceding calendar year. Existing law also requires that the report be printed or otherwise prepared so as to enable the Attorney General to send a copy to public officials dealing with criminals and to distribute them generally in channels where they will add to the public enlightenment. This bill would require that report to contain information on arrests for identity theft crimes. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 13012.6 is added to the Penal Code, to read: 13012.6. The annual report published by the department under Section 13010 shall include information concerning arrests for violations of Section 530.5.
