   An act to amend Section 2106 of the Vehicle Code, relating to
vehicles.

   AB 443, Wolk. California Highway Patrol: main office.
   Existing law requires the Department of the California Highway
Patrol to maintain its main office in Sacramento.
   This bill, instead, would require that office to be maintained
within 20 miles of Sacramento.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 2106 of the Vehicle Code is amended to read:
   2106.  The department shall maintain its main office within 20
miles of Sacramento.
