   An act relating to solid waste.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 2106, as introduced, Anderson. Solid waste: landfills.
   Under existing law, the purpose of the California Integrated Waste
Management Act of 1989, administered by the Department of Resources
Recycling and Recovery, is to reduce, recycle, and reuse solid waste
generated in the state to the maximum extent feasible.
   This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature to enact
subsequent legislation to address landfill and waste disposal
management.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  The Legislature declares its intention to enact
subsequent legislation to address landfill and waste disposal
management.
