   An act to amend Section 75002 of the Public Resources Code,
relating to water resources.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 2146, as introduced, Bill Berryhill. Water resources.
   The Safe Drinking Water, Water Quality and Supply, Flood Control,
River and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2006, approved by the voters
as Proposition 84 at the November 7, 2006, statewide general
election, finds and declares that protecting the state's drinking
water and water resources is vital to the public health, the state's
economy, and the environment.
   This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to that
provision.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 75002 of the Public Resources Code is amended
to read:
   75002.  The people of California find and declare that protecting
the  state's  drinking water and water resources
 is   of the state are  vital to the public
health, the  state's  economy  of the state
 , and the environment.
