BILL NUMBER: AB 2600 INTRODUCED BILL TEXT INTRODUCED BY Assembly Member Ma FEBRUARY 19, 2010 An act to amend Section 1797 of the Health and Safety Code, relating to emergency medical services. LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 2600, as introduced, Ma. Emergency medical services. Existing law, the Emergency Medical Services System and the Prehospital Emergency Medical Care Personnel Act, authorizes each county to designate an emergency medical services agency, for the establishment and administration of an emergency medical services program in the county. Existing law also establishes the Emergency Medical Services Authority, which, among other things, adopts regulations governing the provision of emergency medical services. This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to those provisions. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 1797 of the Health and Safety Code is amended to read: 1797. This division shall be known , and may be cited , as the Emergency Medical Services System and the Prehospital Emergency Medical Care Personnel Act.
