   An act to amend Section 1138.2 of the Labor Code, relating to
employment.



	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 2611, as introduced, Ma. Labor disputes.
   Existing law prohibits the issuing of a restraining order in a
labor dispute when the complainant has failed to comply with an
obligation imposed by law or has failed to make reasonable effort to
settle the dispute through negotiation.
   This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to this provision.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 1138.2 of the Labor Code is amended to read:
   1138.2.  No restraining order or injunctive relief shall be
granted to  any   a  complainant involved
in the labor dispute in question who has failed to comply with
 any   an  obligation imposed by law, or
who has failed to make every reasonable effort to settle that dispute
either by negotiation or with the aid of any available governmental
machinery of mediation or voluntary arbitration.
