BILL NUMBER: SB 410
  VETOED	DATE: 10/12/2009

To the Members of the California State Senate:

I am returning Senate Bill 410 without my signature.

This bill would make unnecessary changes to state law related to the
Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and would duplicate that which is
already required by federal law. All of the actions required of the
local workforce investment areas and boards, by this legislation, are
already allowed by the WIA. Moreover, my Administration is
currently working with the California Workforce Investment Board to
ensure that California's one-stop career centers are effectively
coordinating with a broad array of partners and stakeholders to
deliver comprehensive workforce services to the people of California.

For these reasons, I am unable to sign this bill.

Sincerely,

Arnold Schwarzenegger
