An act to amend Section 34100 of the Health and Safety Code,
relating to community development.

SB 978, as introduced, Hollingsworth. Community development:
commissions.
Existing law establishes in each community, as defined, a public
body, corporate and politic, known as the community development
commission, in order that a community have the option of operating
and governing its redevelopment agency or redevelopment agency and
housing authority, under a single operating entity and board.
This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to the
definition of the term "community" for purposes of these provisions.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 34100 of the Health and Safety Code is amended
to read:
34100. "Community" means a city, county, city and county, or
Indian tribe, band or group which is incorporated or which
otherwise exercises some local governmental powers.
