Purpose . Given the proliferation of highway-naming resolutions
in recent years, and the legislative effort required to process
all these measures, last year the Assembly Committee on
Transportation considered, but rejected, a proposal for a
temporary moratorium on such resolutions. As an alternate means
of addressing this situation, the chair and co-chair of that
committee have jointly authored ACR 100 and have invited any
member wishing to author a highway-naming resolution to join as
a co-author of this measure and have their designation added by
amendment.
