The proposed changes will not make any substantive change in the law. Senate Floor Amendments of 7/1/211 delete section relating to unemployment insurance: retraining benefits. Senate Floor Amendments of 6/23/11 correct incorrect cross references and other technical errors. NOTE: This bill passed the Senate with a vote of 39-0 (Consent) on 6/10/11, and was returned for these correction amendments. CONTINUED AB 1023 Page 2 ANALYSIS : Every year, the Office of Legislative Counsel identifies grammatical errors and other errors of a technical nature that have been inadvertently enacted into statutory law. The annual "maintenance of the Codes" bill is the vehicle for implementing these wholesale corrections. In order to be included in this bill, the change must be technical only and may not affect or enact substantive law. Any proposed change that is identified as having a substantive change is automatically deleted from the bill. This bill makes no changes to existing law.
