   An act to amend Section 50 of the Education Code, relating to
education.



	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 1249, as introduced, Davis. Public schools.
   Existing law provides that public schools, other than those
supported exclusively by the state, are day and evening elementary
and secondary schools.
   This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to those
provisions.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 50 of the Education Code is amended to read:
   50.  The public schools  ,  other than those supported
exclusively by the state, are day and evening elementary  schools
 , and day and evening secondary schools.
