   An act  to amend Section 1143 of the Labor Code, 
relating to employment.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 1313, as amended, Lara. Employment: agricultural workers.
   Existing law requires the Agricultural Labor Relations Board to
make an annual report to the Governor and the Legislature regarding
 specified activities it has conducted   its
activities and the cases it has heard  .
   This bill would  express the intent of the Legislature to
enact legislation to  require that the report be
posted   the board and its general counsel to publish
specified information regarding open cases  on the board's
Internet Web site.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee:  no
  yes  . State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   SECTION 1.    Section 1143 of the   Labor
Code   is amended to read: 
   1143.  The board shall, at the close of each fiscal year, make a
report in writing to the Legislature and to the Governor stating in
detail the cases it has heard, the decisions it has rendered, the
names, salaries, and duties of all employees and officers in the
employ or under the supervision of the board, and an account of all
moneys it has disbursed.  The board and its general counsel shall
publish on the board's Internet Web site, the following information
regarding each open case   , including unfair labor
practices charges:  
   (a) The name of the case.  
   (b) The nature of the case.  
   (c) The date the case was opened.  
   (d) The status of the case.  
   (e) The expected developments in the case.  
   (f) The anticipated timeline for resolution of the case. 

  SECTION 1.    It is the intent of the Legislature
to enact legislation to amend Section 1143 of the Labor Code to
require the Agricultural Labor Relations Board to publish its annual
report to the Governor and the Legislature on its Internet Web site.
