This bill would create the Entertainment Work Permit Fund into which would be deposited application fees from the issuance of temporary work permits. An applicant would be able to complete an application and submit the necessary fee online and the division would immediately issue a temporary permit. This analysis estimates startup costs of up to $100,000 in 2011-12 and annual costs ongoing of up to $150,000. The program would need to issue approximately 3,000 temporary permits at the maximum fee level of $50 to offset costs.
