BILL NUMBER: SB 278
  VETOED	DATE: 07/12/2011

To the Members of the California State Senate:
I am returning Senate Bill 278 without my signature.
This bill would make available to the general public a ski resort's
annual safety plan as well as information about any fatal incidents.
It would also require ski resorts to create their own signage policy
regarding skier information.
I believe such a measure is unnecessary--yet another exercise of the
State's regulatory power for objectives that, in the ordinary course,
are handled by private business or the people themselves.
Sincerely,

Edmund G. Brown Jr.
