The technical amendment simply conforms a related code section to the new name of the consolidated fund (Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Fund). According to the sponsor of this measure, the Speech Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board, this measure provides technical clean-up necessary to consolidate the relevant practice acts and governance for speech language pathologists and audiologists, and hearing aid dispensers. Related Legislation . AB 1535 (Jones), Chapter 309, Statutes of 2009, created the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board, and consolidated the functions of the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board and the Hearing Aid Dispensers Bureau into this new board.
