           SUMMARY : Proclaims September 7, 2013, as 361st Infantry
Regiment Day in California. Specifically, this resolution makes
          the following legislative findings:

1)The 361st Infantry Regiment was organized on September 4,
1917, as an element of the 91st Division and was formed into a
Regimental Combat Team; and, on September 11, 1918 became the
first regiment of the 91st Division to enter combat in World
War I, serving valiantly under treacherous conditions on the
fronts and receiving battle streamers for Ypres-Lys,
            Muse-Argonne, and Lorraine.

2)The 361st Infantry Regimental Combat Team received numerous
decorations from Belgium, France, and the United States of
America, including the Congressional Medal of Honor.

3)The 361st Infantry was deactivated at Camp Rucker, Alabama, on
November 13, 1945, and was organized and designated the
Organized Reserve Corps in 1948 with headquarters in
California where it continues to serve our beloved country.

4)The former members of the 361st Infantry have aided in
maintaining the honor, integrity, and supremacy of the county,
holding in remembrance their common cause to uphold the
Constitution and laws of the United States; and, they
encourage in all people the spirit of understanding, which
shall help guard against future wars, promote charitable
activity directed to members or their survivors who may be in
need, and preserve the memories of our military activities.
