           SUMMARY  

          This measure designates, as the "Detective Jeremiah MacKay  
          Memorial Highway," the portion of State Route 38 between mile  
          post 24 and mile-post 29 in San Bernardino County.

           FISCAL EFFECT  

          Minor State Highway Account costs to Caltrans to make and erect  
          appropriate signs; these costs are fully covered by donations.

           COMMENTS  

           Purpose  . This measure honors Detective MacKay, a 15-year veteran  
          of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's department, who was shot  
          and killed by Christopher Dorner on February 12, 2013 during the  
          manhunt for that ex-Los Angeles Police Department Officer.
