           SUMMARY  

          This measure designates, as the "CHP Officer Dean Esquibel  
          Memorial Bridge," the Cross Creek Bridge on State Route 198 in  
          Kings County.

           FISCAL EFFECT  

          Minor State Highway Account costs to Caltrans to make and erect  
          appropriate signs; these costs are fully covered by donations.

           COMMENTS  

           Purpose  . This measure honors CHP Officer Esquibel, who, after  
          one year of service, died on August 21, 1985 from injuries  
          sustained in an accident involving his patrol vehicle.
