AB 161, as amended, Campos. Restraining orders.
Existing law requires a court in a proceeding for dissolution of marriage or legal separation of the parties to issue a temporary restraining order enjoining both parties from cashing, borrowing against, canceling, transferring, disposing of, or changing the beneficiaries of any insurance or other coverage held for the benefit of the parties and their child or children, for whom support may be ordered. Existing law also authorizes a court in a domestic violence proceeding to issue ex parte protective orders, as specified.
This bill would specifically authorize a court in a domestic violence proceeding to issue an ex parte order restraining any party from cashing, borrowing against, canceling, transferring,begin delete orend delete disposing of, or changing the beneficiaries of any
insurance or other coverage held for the benefit of the partiesbegin delete andend deletebegin insert, orend insert
their child or children, if any, for whom support may be orderedbegin insert, or bothend insert.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
Section 6325.5 is added to the Family Code, to
