	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 230, as introduced, Maienschein. Mental health.
   Existing law authorizes the State Department of State Hospitals,
the State Department of Health Care Services, and other departments
as necessary to perform various duties relating to mental health
services.
   This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation relating to mental health.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation relating to mental health.
