Existing law provides procedures for the adoption of an unmarried minor. Under existing law, the consent of a child is necessary to the child’s adoption, if the child is over 12 years of age.
This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to that provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
Section 8602 of the Family Code is amended to
