LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL’S DIGEST

AB 629, as introduced, Wilk. Local government.

Existing law authorizes various local entities to adopt rules and regulations to carry out the purposes of those entities.

This bill would express the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would address the effect of the adoption of rules, regulations, ordinances, or requirements by local entities on the public and other local entities within the same jurisdiction.

Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.  

It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
2legislation that would address the effect of the adoption of rules,
3regulations, ordinances, or requirements by local agencies on the
4public and other local agencies within the same jurisdiction.
