Notwithstanding Section 26061, and subject to the
4limitations of Section 18 of Article XVI of the California
5Constitution, a school district, county office of education, or
6charter school may voluntarily enter into an agreement with a
7PACE program to finance, refinance, or lease the installation of
8distributed generation renewable energy sources, electric vehicle
9charging infrastructure, or energy or water efficiency
10improvements.
Section 27421 of the Government Code is
12amended to read:
The county assessor in each county who is designated
14to perform the duty of assessing property for a local taxing
15jurisdiction shall, upon request of the governing body of that
16jurisdiction, excluding a school district, provide not later than May
1715th of each year an estimate of the assessed valuation of property
18within
that jurisdiction for the next fiscal year. Such request shall
19be made on or before February 20th of each year. The estimate
20shall contain estimates of the total of each of the items contained
21on the assessment roll as well as the estimated total valuation.
