AB 1009, as introduced, Mansoor. Deadly weapons: definition.
Existing law defines a deadly weapon as any weapon, the possession or concealed carrying of which is prohibited by any specified provisions of law.
This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to these provisions.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
Section 16430 of the Penal Code is amended to

As used in Division 4 (commencing with Section 18250)
4of Title 2, “deadly weapon” means any weapon, the possession or
5concealed carrying of which is prohibited by anybegin delete provisionend deletebegin insert of the
6provisionsend insert listed in Section 16590.
