An act to amend Section 2615.6 of the Revenue and Taxation Code, relating to taxation.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL’S DIGEST

AB 1012, as introduced, Gomez. County tax bill: notice: property tax assistance and postponement.

Existing law requires, when the county sends to any person a tax bill, that the bill be accompanied by a notice regarding property tax assistance and postponement for senior citizens, as specified. Existing law requires the text of this notice to be prepared by the Franchise Tax Board.

This bill would eliminate the notification requirement regarding property tax postponement for senior citizens.

Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: yes. State-mandated local program: no.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.  

Section 2615.6 of the Revenue and Taxation
