AB 1230, as introduced, Donnelly. Endangered species and threatened species: establishment of lists.
The California Endangered Species Act requires the Fish and Game Commission to establish a list of endangered species and a list of threatened species. The act requires the commission to add or remove species from either list if it finds, upon the receipt of sufficient scientific information pursuant to the act, that the action is warranted.
This bill, instead, would require the commission to add or remove species based upon the receipt of adequate, rather than sufficient, scientific information.
