   An act to amend Section 51200 of the Government Code, relating to
local government.

   AB 1244, as introduced, Bradford. Williamson Act.
   Existing law establishes the California Land Conservation Act of
1965, otherwise known as the Williamson Act, for purposes of
preserving agricultural land within the state.
   This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to these
provisions.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 51200 of the Government Code is amended to
read:
   51200.  This chapter shall be known  and may be cited  as
the California Land Conservation Act of 1965 or as the Williamson
Act.
