Existing law requires common carriers to file with the Public Utilities Commission, and to keep open to public inspection, schedules showing the rates, fares, charges, and classifications for the transportation of persons and property between termini within the state, as specified. Existing law requires the schedules to contain specified information. Existing law requires the schedules to be produced and made available for inspection upon the demand of any person, as specified.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to the latter provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
Section 488 of the Public Utilities Code is

5available for inspection upon the demand of any person. The form
6ofbegin delete every suchend deletebegin insert aend insert schedule shall be prescribed by the commission

2federalbegin delete regulationend deletebegin insert regulation,end insert as nearly as possible to the form of
3schedules prescribed by the federal Surface Transportation Board.
4(b) Subdivision (a) is not applicable to network railroad
5transportation.
