An act to amend Section 488 of the Public Utilities Code, relating to public utilities.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL’S DIGEST

AB 1361, as introduced, Bonilla. Public utilities: tariff schedules.

Existing law requires common carriers to file with the Public Utilities Commission, and to keep open to public inspection, schedules showing the rates, fares, charges, and classifications for the transportation of persons and property between termini within the state, as specified. Existing law requires the schedules to contain specified information. Existing law requires the schedules to be produced and made available for inspection upon the demand of any person, as specified.

This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to the latter provision.

Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.  

Section 488 of the Public Utilities Code is

4(b) Subdivision (a) is not applicable to network railroad
5transportation.
