SUBJECT : State employees: memorandum of understanding.
SUMMARY : Ratifies the provisions of a memorandum of
understanding (MOU) between the state and an as yet unspecified
state bargaining unit.
EXISTING LAW requires, under the State Employee-Employer
Relations Act (the Dills Act), collective bargaining agreements
(MOUs) that are negotiated between the state and exclusive
representatives of each of the 21 state bargaining units.
FISCAL EFFECT : Unknown.
COMMENTS : This is a spot bill that will be used to approve the
final collective bargaining agreement reached this year between
the state and one or more of the state bargaining units. The
current MOUs for 19 of the state's 21 bargaining units expire on
or around the first of July of this year.
