   An act relating to public utilities.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 2334, as introduced, Gray. Public and privately owned
utilities.
   Existing law provides that the Public Utilities Commission has
regulatory authority over public utilities. Under existing law,
various provisions are applicable to both privately owned and
publicly owned utilities.
   This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation relating to privately owned and publicly owned public
utilities.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation relating to privately owned and publicly owned utilities.
