An act relating to state property.

AB 2542, as introduced, Bloom. State property: surplus.
Existing law sets forth various provisions for the acquisition and
maintenance of property by the state, and authorizes the Director of
General Services to dispose of state surplus property by means of
sale, lease, exchange, a sale combined with an exchange, or other
manner of disposition of property, subject to specified conditions,
including authorization by the Legislature.
This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation regarding the acquisition of real property by state
agencies.
Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation regarding the acquisition of real property by state
agencies.
