           SUMMARY  

          This measure designates, as the "Redding Police Officer Owen  
          "Ted" Lyon Memorial Bridge," the Sacramento River Bridget on  
          State Route 273 where it crosses into downtown Redding.

           FISCAL EFFECT  

          Minor State Highway Account costs to Caltrans to make and erect  
          appropriate signs; these costs are fully covered by donations.

           COMMENTS 

           Purpose  . This measure honors Officer Lyon, a six-year veteran of  
          the Redding Police Department, who was killed in the line of  
          duty on May 18, 1967.
