           SUMMARY  

          This measure designates, for inclusion in the National Purple  
          Heart Trail, the portion of State Route 101 in Ventura County  
          and the portion of State Route 101 in Santa Barbara County  
          between mile post 36.16 and the Ventura County line.

           FISCAL EFFECT  

          Minor State Highway Account costs to Caltrans to make and erect  
          appropriate signs; these costs are fully covered by donations.

           COMMENTS  

           Purpose  . This measure expands designation on the state highway  
          system as part of the National Purple Heart Trail, which was  
          established in 1992 to commemorate and honor those who have been  
          killed or wounded in combat while serving in the United States  
          Armed Forces.
