           SUMMARY  

          This measure designates, as the "Bill Whitehurst Memorial  
          Highway," the portion of State Route 152 between State Route 233  
          and State Route 99 in Madera County.

           FISCAL EFFECT  

          Minor State Highway Account costs to Caltrans to make and erect  
          appropriate signs; these costs are fully covered by donations.

           COMMENTS  

           Purpose  . This measure honors Mr. Whitehurst for involvement in  
          numerous public and philanthropic activities. M. Whitehurst  
          passed away on January 3, 1989 at the age of 89.
