SB 319, as introduced, Price. Developmental services: regional
centers: data compilation.
Under the Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act, the
State Department of Developmental Services is required to contract
with regional centers to provide services and supports to individuals
with developmental disabilities.
This bill would state that it is the intent of the Legislature to
enact legislation to require the department to provide quarterly
updates regarding the department's progress in meeting specified data
compilation requirements in collaboration with regional centers.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation to require the State Department of Developmental Services
to provide quarterly updates regarding the department's progress in
meeting the requirements of Section 4519.5 of the Welfare and
Institutions Code, which requires the department and regional centers
to annually collaborate to compile specified data relating to
purchase and service authorization, utilization, and expenditure by
each regional center.
