	BILL TEXT

INTRODUCED BY Senator Hernandez

                        FEBRUARY 21, 2013

An act to amend Section 4050 of the Business and Professions Code,
relating to pharmacies.

	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

SB 493, as introduced, Hernandez. Pharmacy practice.
The Pharmacy Law provides for the licensing and regulation of
pharmacists by the California State Board of Pharmacy in the
Department of Consumer Affairs, and states that pharmacy practice is
a dynamic, patient-oriented health service that applies a scientific
body of knowledge to improve and promote patient health by means of
appropriate drug use and drug-related therapy.
This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to that
provision.
Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Section 4050 of the Business and Professions Code is
