Existing law specifies the authority of agents in dealing with 3rd persons. Existing law states when an agency is ostensible for purposes of determining the authority of an agent.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to that provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
Section 2300 of the Civil Code is amended to

An agency is ostensible when the principal intentionally,
4or by want of ordinary care, causes a third person to believe another
5begin insert personend insert to be hisbegin insert or herend insert agent who is not really employed by him
6begin insert or herend insert.
