An act to add Section 129853 to the Health and Safety Code, relating to health facilities, and making an appropriation therefor.

Existing law requires the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development to pass upon and approve or reject all plans for the construction or the alteration of any hospital building, as specified. Existing law requires the office to determine and establish an application filing fee that will cover the costs of administering these requirements, and requires the deposit of these fees into the Hospital Building Fund, which is continuously appropriated for the use of the office in carrying out these provisions.

This bill would require a person or entity requesting a copy ofbegin delete a planend deletebegin insert construction documentsend insert maintained by the office to bear the cost of producing the copy ofbegin delete that planend deletebegin insert those documentsend insert. To the extent that this requirement would increase the costs of administering the above-described requirements and amounts of moneys from fees deposited into the Hospital Building Fund, this bill would make an appropriation.
