Existing law creates the California Health and Human Services Agency, which has under its jurisdiction designated departments and offices.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to a provision related to the California Health and Human Services Agency.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
Section 12803 of the Government Code is
2amended to read:
(a) The California Health and Human Services Agency
4begin delete consists ofend deletebegin insert includesend insert the following departments: Health Care
5Services; Mental Health; Developmental Services; Public Health;
6Social Services; Alcohol and Drug Abuse; Aging; Rehabilitation;
7and Community Services and Development.
8(b) The agency also includes the Office of Statewide Health
9Planning and Development and the State Council on
10Developmental Disabilities.
P2 1(c) The Department of Child Support Services is hereby
created
2within the agency commencing January 1, 2000, and shall be the
3single organizational unit designated as the state’s Title IV-D
4agency with the responsibility for administering the state plan and
5providing services relating to the establishment of paternity or the
6establishment, modification, or enforcement of child support
7obligationsbegin insert,end insert as required by Section 654 of Title 42 of the United
8States Code. State plan functions shall be performed by other
9agencies as required by law, by delegation of the department, or
10by cooperative agreements.
