Assembly Amendments delete the Senate version of this bill, which expressed legislative intent to enact statutory changes relating to the Budget Act, and instead add the current language. ANALYSIS : As part of the 2014-15 Budget, AB 1473 makes statutory changes necessary to implement the Budget Act. Specifically, this bill: 1.Prohibits the State Allocation Board from approving funding for specified incentive grants or allocations for projects, pursuant to the Career Technical Education Facilities Program CONTINUED SB 869 Page 2 after January 1, 2015, and provides for reallocation of the amounts not yet approved by the board for other purposes, including new construction and modernization of school facilities, and seismic repair, reconstruction, or replacement, as specified; 2.Requires the Office of Public School Construction to report to the State Allocation Board and Legislature, by March 1, 2015, on efforts to streamline and speed up the award of seismic mitigation funds; 3.Declares that it is consistent with, and furthers the purposes of, provisions of the bond act related to elementary and secondary school facilities; and 4.Declares that it is to take effect immediately as an urgency statute.
