An act to amend Section 2105.5 of the Elections Code, relating to elections.

SB 1063, as introduced, Block. Voting rights guide: incarcerated persons.

Existing law requires each county probation department to either establish and maintain on the county probation department’s Internet Web site a hyperlink to the Secretary of State’s voting rights guide for incarcerated persons or post a notice with the Internet Web site address that contains the Secretary of State’s voting rights guide for incarcerated persons in each probation office where probationers are seen.

This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to this provision of law.

Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.  

Section 2105.5 of the Elections Code is amended
2to read:

2105.5.  

Each county probation department shall dobegin delete oneend deletebegin insert eitherend insert
4 of the following:

5(a) Establish and maintain on the county probation department’s
6Internet Web site a hyperlink to the Internet Web site at which the
7Secretary of State’s voting rights guide for incarcerated persons
8may be found.
