          SUMMARY:  Resolves that the Legislature takes great pride in  
          honoring Ronald Reagan for his many contributions to our country  
          and in celebrating his life; and recognizes February 6, 2015, as  
          Ronald Reagan Day.  Specifically, this resolution makes the  
          following legislative findings:


          1)February 6, 2015, will be the 104th anniversary of Ronald  
            Reagan's birth and the eleventh since his passing.



          2)Ronald Reagan served with honor and distinction for two terms  
            as the 40th President of the United States of America; and his  
            commitment to our Armed Forces contributed to the restoration  
            of pride in America and prepared America's Armed Forces to  
            meet 21st century challenges.

          3)President Reagan's commitment to the nation's children helped  
            lower crime and drug use in our neighborhoods; and his vision  
            of "peace through strength" led to the end of the Cold War.



          4)President Reagan signed into law a bill to establish the  
            holiday of Martin Luther King, Jr. on November 20, 1983; and  
            in 1986 he signed the last comprehensive immigration reform  
            act.



          5)President Reagan, a man of humble background, worked  
            throughout his life serving freedom and advancing the public  
            good, having been employed as an entertainer, union leader, a  
            corporate spokesman, Governor of California, and President of  
            the United States.
