Assembly Concurrent Resolution No. 27—Relative to the Month of the Young Professional.

ACR 27, as introduced, Beth Gaines. Month of the Young Professional.

This measure would proclaim the month of March 2015 as the Month of the Young Professional.

P1    1WHEREAS, California has the responsibility to recognize
2occasions of outstanding significance; and

3WHEREAS, The country’s most robust economies are driven
4by metropolitan areas infused with flourishing young professionals;
5and

6WHEREAS, The attraction and retention of young professionals
7is essential to the future competitiveness of the State of California,
8its businesses, and its citizens; and

9WHEREAS, Young professionals play a significant role in the
10economic viability of the State of California; and

11WHEREAS, Young professionals have partnered with business
12and community leasers to promote and create a viable and liable
13place for young professionals; and

14WHEREAS, Young professionals will convene the second
15annual Young Professionals Summit on March 27, 2015; and

P2    1WHEREAS, This summit will provide social, philanthropic,
2professional, and civic development opportunities; and

3WHEREAS, The accomplishments of young professionals
4deserve acknowledgment, affirmation, and celebration by the State
5of California; now, therefore, be it

6Resolved by the Assembly of the State of California, the Senate
7thereof concurring,
That the Legislature hereby proclaims the
8month of March 2015 as the Month of the Young Professional;
9and be it further

10Resolved, That the Chief Clerk of the Assembly transmit copies
11of this resolution to the author for appropriate distribution.
