Assembly Concurrent Resolution No. 27—Relative to the Month of the Young Professional.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL’S DIGEST

ACR 27, as amended, Beth Gaines. Month of the Young Professional.

This measure would proclaim the month of March 2015 as the Month of the Young Professional.

P1    1WHEREAS, California has the responsibility to recognize
2occasions of outstanding significance; and

P2    1WHEREAS, The country’s most robust economies are driven
2by metropolitan areas infused with flourishing young professionals;
3and

4WHEREAS, The attraction and retention of young professionals
5is essential to the future competitiveness of the State of California,
6its businesses, and its citizens; and

7WHEREAS, Young professionals play a significant role in the
8economic viability of the State of California; and

9WHEREAS, Young professionals have partnered with business
10and community leaders to promote and create a viable and livable
11place for young professionals; and

12WHEREAS, Young professionals will convene the second
13annual Young Professionals Summit on March 27, 2015; and

14WHEREAS, This summit will provide social, philanthropic,
15professional, and civic development opportunities; and

16WHEREAS, The accomplishments of young professionals
17deserve acknowledgment, affirmation, and celebration by the State
18of California; now, therefore, be it

19Resolved by the Assembly of the State of California, the Senate
20thereof concurring,
That the Legislature hereby proclaims the
21month of March 2015 as the Month of the Young Professional;
22and be it further

23Resolved, That the Chief Clerk of the Assembly transmit copies
24of this resolution to the author for appropriate distribution.
