SUMMARY:
This measure designates, as the "Joel Mendenhall Memorial
Highway," the portion of State Route 76 from East Grade Road to
East Palomar Road in San Diego County.

FISCAL EFFECT:
Minor State Highway Account costs to Caltrans to make and erect
appropriate signs; these costs are fully covered by donations.
COMMENTS:
Purpose. This measure honors Mr. Mendenhall, a rancher whose
family history in the Palomar Mountain area dates back to the
mid-1800s. Mr. Mendenhall died in a ranching accident on
September 2, 2013.
