This measure:

1)Designates, as the "Ralph Fertig Memorial Bicycle-Pedestrian
Path", the bicycle-pedestrian path constructed as part of
project to widen State Route 101 from Mobil Pier Road to Bates
Road in Ventura County.
2)Designates, as the "Peter Douglas Coastal Access Way", the
pedestrian undercrossing of State Route 101 in La Conchita
(Ventura County).
FISCAL EFFECT:
Minor State Highway Account costs to Caltrans to make and erect
appropriate signs; these costs are fully covered by donations.)
COMMENTS:
Purpose. This measure honor Mr. Fertig for his activism in
support of bicycling in the Central Coast region and Mr. Douglas
for his long career of state service, including 26 years as
executive director of the California Coastal Commission.
